i thought that this animation was about alot of different themes and topics in the world. it showed the evolution of life, as well as a higher creator (the magician). it incorporated war, power, corruption, family, poverty, growth, adventure, and exploration.
this artists used some very interesting and appealing conceptual and visual strategies. the lighting and the colors that were used worked great with the situations being shown to us. the artists point was to show the world over time and look at what we have become. for example the part where the magician is turning the iron wheels and everything is growing older and then back younger... that to me is showing our world evolving over time. it was neither a good nor bad thing, but it was a realistic situation because our world changes every day. it was a very effective part in the animation.
this animation showed alot of different marks that i can incorporate into my own. the technical skills were amazing and so clean. also the use of text was very clever and i may want to explore that a little bit. the text gets the important aspects of your animation across clearly to the viewers. also sound effects were very important in this animation and i think it is important for me to know where and how to use them.
